16歳でプロギタリストになる。
70年代、80年代と　各　BLUES CREATION, CREATION, BOYS ON ROCKS　にて活動。
多くのレコード、CDを発表した。

97年に米国に移住、ギタリスト活動を続けている。日本国内のツアー、香港での活動も平行して行っている。

音楽的には初期はブルースバンド、その後ハードロック、ファンクなどとサウンドの変化があり
現在はブルーズをルーツにしたJazzをプレイしている。

Born in Tokyo Japan 3-11-52

Started to play as Pro Guitarist at the age of 16

Released First album " The BLUES CREATION " From Polydor Records In 1969

1972 Lived In London England Played with Local bands

1973 Back to Japan and formed "The CREATION "

Toured with a lot of US and British bands mostly as " Opening Act"
Such as ;; Faces , Susie Quarto , Mountain , etc,

1974 Released " The CREATION " from Toshiba EMI

1975 Played with Felix Pappalardi( Producer Of CREAM ) for his " World Rock Festival Band "
Recorded together for " Felix Pappalardi & CREATION " in NY

1976 Felix Pappalardi & CREATION have done their first US Tour

1977 Separated from Felix and released " CREATION 3rd album " for EMI
The CREATION Toured in Australia with Santana, Fleetwood mac and Little River band.

1978 - 1984　　Released 8 Albums from EMI, and King Record
After They had a couple of Hit songs then The CREATION Disbanded

1985- 1991 Formed " BOYS ON ROCKS " And released 3 records for JVC record
1987-1996 Worked as Guitar Instructor for MESAR HAUS Music School Tokyo

1997 Relocated to Los Angeles USA
1997 - 2007 Playing with his own Jazz Quartet in LA

KAZ TAKEDA QUARTET Los Angeles CA USA

Formed in January of 2001, the Kaz Takeda Quartet brings together players with years of experience and a wealth of influences including jazz, blues, R&B, fusion and rock. Originally from Tokyo, Kaz Takeda is one of the best-known guitarists in the Asian music scene. He has released over 20 albums, and received the 'Best Guitarist of the Year' award in Japan for four consecutive years. Kaz's style is lyrical and complex, yet totally accessible. His guitar work com bined with Sunnygirl Yoko's driving harmonica and stellar vocals creates a unique sound that sets the band apart. It is a front line like no other.

The rhythm section swings hard while providing melodic counterpoint to the lead instruments. Together they anchor the group and drive through familiar and uncharted territory. The group has a potent combination of technique and feel that allows them to easily move from bebop to Latin to blues to funk and back again.
